When converted pictures download as .zip, extract them first. ZIP packages several results into one download; it is not a JPG with another extension.
When FileMyLove produces ZIP
PDF to image downloads one image directly or packages multiple images as ZIP. Convert image similarly bundles multiple image outputs when the destination is an image format rather than PDF.
Check the files inside. One ZIP in Downloads does not mean only one page was converted. If you expected five pages, inspect the image list before concluding that pages are missing.
Extract on Windows
Microsoft explains that you can right-click a ZIP and choose Extract All…, or open it and drag selected files to another location.
We recommend opening, renaming and attaching images from the extracted folder. This makes it clearer that you selected the picture rather than the archive.
Extract on Mac
Apple says to double-click the ZIP. The extracted item appears in the same folder. Open it and select the pictures you need.
If you cannot find it, use the browser’s download list to locate the saved file. Check its name before creating duplicate downloads.
Check before sending
| Check | Our suggested method |
|---|---|
| Count | Compare with expected pages or inputs |
| Order | Open first, middle and last images |
| Readability | Zoom into small text and important details |
| Accepted format | Attach extracted JPG/PNG files if ZIP is rejected |
ZIP packaging does not reduce image resolution again. Conversion may already have changed resolution or quality. If text is unreadable, revisit conversion settings rather than renaming the archive.
Extraction fails or the file stays large
Our troubleshooting sequence is to confirm the download finished and check free space for extraction. If it still fails, generate a smaller batch from the original. Keep the source until every image is checked.
Microsoft notes that JPEG images are already compressed, so ZIP may offer little extra reduction. Use Compress image to reduce the picture itself, then recheck quality. For page-image settings, see PDF to JPG or PNG.
