Combine Images into One Long Picture or Grid

Arrange photos and screenshots vertically, horizontally or in a grid. Check order, spacing and text readability before exporting one PNG or JPG image.

Choose a layout before combining screenshots or product views. A vertical strip supports a reading sequence; a grid puts several pictures on one canvas. These are our composition suggestions, not requirements imposed by a destination app.

Match the layout to the content

Layout Suggested starting use
Vertical Steps or screenshots read from top to bottom
Horizontal Views you want to compare side by side
Grid Several pictures presented as an overview

FileMyLove gives vertically arranged images a common width and horizontally arranged images a common height. Grid images fit inside their cells while retaining their proportions; the tool does not automatically crop them to fill each cell. Different source proportions can therefore leave empty space.

MDN's Canvas documentation describes drawing source images at specified destination sizes. This tool uses that kind of drawing to create a new image, rather than attaching separate pages to a document.

Build the combined image

  1. Open merge images and select between 2 and 20 pictures.
  2. Move items in the list into the intended reading order.
  3. Choose vertical, horizontal or grid. A grid can use 2, 3 or 4 columns.
  4. Adjust the gap and background colour; inspect both composition and important details.
  5. Select PNG or JPG and download one combined image.

PNG exposes a transparent-background option, but it does not remove backgrounds already contained in each source image. Use remove background on those images first if you need cutout subjects, then arrange the results.

When the text becomes too small

The tool caps the longest side and total pixel count. Combining many images can therefore scale the result down. iPhone and iPad use lower output limits than other devices, so do not expect every source pixel to survive in a large combined image.

Our suggestion is to split a very long sequence into smaller sets if text becomes difficult to read. Inspect the downloaded file, and check the receiving service's size limits. Keep the originals for another layout: the tool clears the images after download.

When separate PDF pages are better

If each image represents a document page, consider images to PDF with page ordering instead. There is no need to make every document a single long picture.

This tool does not stitch panoramas or automatically detect repeated screenshot content. Prepare copies with unwanted headers or overlapping content removed before arranging them.
