FileMyLove turns a recording into an editable draft that you can check and save as TXT. Audio is processed on your device. The workflow below is intended for interviews you want to use in a report or article.
Prepare the recording
The tool accepts up to 100 MB and 20 minutes per file. Keep the original. For a longer interview, use trim audio to create shorter sections at sentence boundaries and name them in order.
Our suggested preparation step is to keep a separate list of speaker names, organisations and specialist terms for proofreading. You do not need to submit that list to the tool.
Transcribe and save
- Open audio to text and select a browser-decodable MP3, WAV or M4A file.
- Play a short section to confirm that it is the correct recording.
- Select the spoken language and start transcription.
- Keep the page open while it works. Processing time depends on the recording and device.
- Edit the result, then copy it or download TXT.
For a filmed interview, use video to text directly. There is no need to create an MP3 first. Downloading clears the file and text from the tool, so finish reviewing before saving.
A practical proofreading checklist
This is our editorial workflow, not a guarantee of transcript accuracy.
| Pass | Listen for |
|---|---|
| First | Missing sentences, repeated words and negations |
| Second | Names, places, product names and specialist terms |
| Third | Amounts, dates, percentages and units |
| Final | Speaker changes and the exact boundaries of quotations |
Mark unclear passages for review instead of filling them in from context. Keep the checked transcript separate from any summary you write so that you can return to the original wording.
Why review is still necessary
The Thai model's authors note that accents, dialects, background noise and speech clarity can affect recognition. Proper names deserve particular attention during your review.
The tool does not automatically identify speakers, summarise interviews or export subtitle files. Add interviewer and interviewee labels manually after listening back.
When a file does not work
Listen to the original in another player first. For video with missing sound, follow the MP4 audio troubleshooting guide. For audio preparation, see converting and trimming audio.
Tool behaviour checked against the application and code on 4 October 2026.
