A PPTX may contain more slides than the exported PDF has pages, or text typed below a slide may be absent. Check hidden-slide status and speaker notes before treating this as a download problem.
Slides and notes are different outputs
Microsoft documents Notes Pages for printing slides with speaker notes, separately from slide-only output. PDF export options also differ by platform and version, so inspect the preview before saving.
FileMyLove prepares one non-hidden slide per page for the browser's print dialog. It does not automatically create speaker-note pages or multi-slide handouts.
Identify the missing content
| Missing item | Our suggested check |
|---|---|
| Some slides | Are they marked hidden in the source? |
| Text beneath a slide | Is it speaker-note text rather than slide content? |
| Consecutive slide numbers | Compare the source order and hidden slides |
| Space for audience notes | Use a supported handout layout in the source application |
Do not unhide everything blindly. A hidden slide may be a draft or intentionally excluded information. We recommend preparing a copy specifically for the recipient.
Make an audience PDF
- Retain the PPTX and create an export copy.
- Review which slides should be visible and their on-slide content.
- Open Convert document, select PPTX and PDF.
- Inspect the preview and choose Save as PDF in the browser's print dialog.
- Reopen the saved file and check its page count, first and last headings, and formerly hidden slides.
Compare fonts and complex objects with the original too. A correct page count does not prove every element matches. For a size limit, see PDF compression and quality.
Prepare presenter notes separately
Use Notes Pages in a supported PowerPoint version following Microsoft's guide, then inspect the preview before printing or saving through your system's PDF option. Give presenter notes and audience slides distinct filenames to avoid sending the wrong copy.
The site cannot recover notes that were never exported into a PDF. Keep the PPTX for editing. See choosing document formats if the recipient needs an editable source, and merge PDFs only after reviewing the intended set.
